Help Us Celebrate National Doctors’ Day!

We’re collecting letters of praise in recognition of Doctors’ Day. Click here to view the stories we’ve received thus far.

80 years ago, a Georgia woman by the name of Eudora Brown Almond set aside a day to honor physicians. National Doctors’ Day is now an annual occasion, and it takes place on Saturday, March 30 this year.

The first “official” Doctors’ Day came in 1991, soon after a resolution was passed by Congress and signed by President Bush.

Doctors’ Day lands on March 30 of every year because on that day in 1842, the first ether anesthetic was administered for surgery. Today, National Doctors’ Day provides patients nationwide with a chance to say thanks to exemplary physicians.

With all that said, we’d love to hear from you in preparation for Doctors’ Day 2013! Just fill out the form below whenever it’s convenient for you. It’s the perfect opportunity to say thanks to a great doctor.

As an 8 year breast cancer survivor I have great respect for Dr. C Yeshwant. Not only was he there when I got my diagnosis and helped me choose my treatment plan, I also have the privilege of working with him in the Cancer Center at Sherman Hospital.
    Kudos Dr.Y :)
