With flu season right around the corner, Sherman Health will offer seasonal influenza vaccinations (flu shots) to the community at a number of convenient locations. Seasonal flu shots are a recommended preventative measure for everyone, however children as young as six months to as old as 19 years of age, pregnant women, individuals 50 years of age or older, and those with certain chronic medical conditions run a higher risk of infection.

Sherman Health will offer seasonal flu shots for only $25, payable with cash, check or credit card. Flu shots are free for individuals who provide proof of Medicare Part B coverage. No appointments are necessary. Here are the dates and locations:

At this time, Sherman Health will only provide seasonal flu shots at the clinics. The H1N1 flu vaccine is not yet available. When available, the H1N1 vaccine will be initially offered to those at greater risk, as directed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
