Chicago Tribune: The 8 most germ-friendly spots in the house

The Chicago Tribune published a story on the 8 “germiest” spots in the average home. Not surprisingly, half of the spots are kitchen/food-related.

The Tribune warns that, while we’re typically quick to wash our hands to negate possible viruses, we often forget that we can contract those same viruses from surfaces in our homes. This information is especially relevant as the H1N1 flu continues to spread.

The study was conducted by the Hygiene Council, a group of experts in the public health and infectious diseases fields.
