‘Tis the Season of Giving

More than any other time of year, the holiday season serves as a time when people are reminded to give to those less fortunate.

Though times are tough, working together as a community we can make a difference.

Show your support and help make the holidays brighter for families and children in need.

Start collecting boxes and the places you work! This is a good way for everyone to be involved and make a difference! People don’t realize how much a little help can benefit so many others.

It is VERY important that people who are able give toys or food this season, in this tough economy. Thanks for the list, Sherman.

With the current economy there are a lot of children and families who are going to need some help this Christmas. I know the Elgin food pantry had to turn people away for Thanksgiving. I hope everyone takes a few moments to keep in mind those in need this year. Even one toy, or small bag or groceries can help!

It’s such a challenge for families this year to give their children a nice Christmas. More than ever, people need help. Give what you can because the littlest amount helps.

With this economy organizations like United Way are really struggling to make sure they can keep their promises. This is a great list.

Great list here! I love to pick a child to buy for every Christmas! If I don’t do that, I at least try to make sure that I donate toys somewhere. It breaks my heart to think that kids out there don’t get what they want for Christmas and that they sometimes get nothing at all. It makes me realize how blessed I was growing up and how I continue to be blessed as an adult! For that, I am thankful which is why I try to give back!
