Sherman’s Immediate Care Centers are Close By
As of June 2013, our Immediate Care Centers are now called Advocate Sherman Outpatient Centers. All other information in this post, including symptoms, locations, and hours of operation, remains accurate.
A medical situation can happen at any time. Luckily, Sherman Family HealthCare Immediate Care Centers are nearby. And they are often the best stop for many of life’s little emergencies like cuts, sprains, earaches, and fevers.
The Immediate Care Centers are walk-in clinics — no appointment necessary — and are designed to treat minor (not life-threatening) injuries and illnesses right away. They even offer many of the same services as an ER, such as X-Ray, mammography and blood testing.
Some common conditions treated at Immediate Care Centers include:
- Conjunctivitis/pink eye
- Chronic back pain
- Dressing changes/suture removal/wound check
- Insect bites
- Cold/flu symptoms
- Minor injuries
- Toothache
- Minor wounds
- Sprains/strains
- Earache
- Sore throat
- Foreign bodies
- Dislocations with numbness or tingling
- Suspected broken bones
- Nausea/vomiting
- Lacerations
- Moderate burns
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Depression
In special circumstances patients at any Immediate Care Center may be transferred to Sherman Hospital
At our Immediate Care Centers, a board-certified physician is on call at all times in addition to specially trained healthcare personnel to provide the care you need when you need it most. And with four convenient locations, there’s sure to be a center close by whenever you need it.

The hours posted on this website for McDonald Rd. facility are misleading. It states everyday until 10:30, except holidays. Saturday isn’t a holiday yet the facility was closed at 5:45 pm. If weekend hours are different, I think it should be stated as such.

The address for the South Elgin Sherman Family HealthCare facility is
“South Elgin”
There is no town named “S. Elgin”
And, yes, I’m being sensitive about it, but let’s be accurate, simply for the sake of accuracy.

the find hours link for the royal blvd office goes directly to a map and the phone message says nothing about hours of business. not very helpful.
