Sherman Health will host a Back to School Fair from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, August 7 at its South Elgin Immediate Care Center, 2000 McDonald Road. This fun-filled event will feature games, snacks and health information for the entire family.

As back to school preparations begin, families will have the opportunity to learn hand hygiene, how to properly carry a backpack, healthy tips for school lunches and more. Free school supplies from Staples will be provided to children at the event. Walgreens will provide glucose screenings, and the South Elgin Police and Fire departments will be on hand to showcase vehicles and educate attendees on safety.

During the free car seat safety check, parents can have car seats checked in their own vehicles and receive hands-on instruction from a certified child passenger safety technician.
