Plans are underway for the Sherman Hospital Auxiliary ‘s third annual "Upscale Garage Sale" to be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on April 17 and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 18 in the former D.C. Cook Publishing Company building located at 850 N. Grove Ave., Elgin. The garage sale will include clothing, furniture, children’s toys and games, antiques, books, and more. In addition to the garage sale, a bake sale will also be held.

The Sherman Men’s Health Alliance group will also have equipment on site for sale provided by Ralph Helm, Inc., Elgin. Warren Mogler, a local artist, will have his artwork on display and for sale.

The event is being chaired by Jan Kane and Mittie Pickens, auxiliary members, with all proceeds going toward the Auxiliary ‘s five-year $1 million pledge for the birthing center at the new Sherman Hospital , slated to open on December 15.

Admission to the sale is $3.00 per person at the door. Strollers will not be admitted to the building.
