My husband died 4 weeks ago, and I was sooo glad that we had talked, many times, about being a donor. When the Gift of Hope people came to talk to me in the hospital, when we knew he would not make it, it was easy to fill out the paper work because I knew just what he wanted to do. He was able to donate kidneys, liver, corneas, tissue, etc. I absolutely knew he would be happy to know this. It made his passing just a little bit easier. So everybody who reads this, think real hard about letting your loved ones know you are a donor, and sign up. Thanks for listening.

[...] We’ve written about this in the past, but it’s worth mentioning again: fish and fish oil are spilling over with cholesterol-slicing omega-3 fatty acids. Salmon is a standout, but even canned tuna offers some wonderful benefits. [...]

Judy,

Thank you for your comment. Right now we have no plans to place commemorative bricks in the healing garden. The site we have selected for the bricks, on the cafe terrace, facing the lake, is quite prominent, and allows for expansion of the program if needed. It will be a lovely setting, with a stone seating wall setting off the brick patio. I think you might like the placement.
