GreenTown 2011 is taking place at the Centre of Elgin tomorrow, and Sherman has a booth featuring information about our geothermal lake. Uncorked & Untapped: Monday, May 23
Have you been looking for some new date night ideas recently? If so, the Arboretum of South Barrington has a great option for you: its UnCorked & UnTapped event on Monday night, May 23. Advance registration is $40 ($50 at the door – cash only), and on the night of the 23rd you will be transported by shuttle to nine of the Arboretum’s finest destinations. You’ll experience premium beer and wine from around the world, as well as delicious cuisine from some of the Arboretum’s participating restaurants.
Sherman Health Constructs Community Garden
This week, Sherman Health will show its green thumb with the construction of its latest initiative—a 30-plot Natural Prairie & Community Garden. The community garden will reside next to the hospital’s 15-acre geothermal lake, and will serve as an interactive educational tool for gardening, healthy eating choices, and proper body mechanics while gardening.
