Sherman Launches New, Consumer-Focused Web Site

ELGIN, Ill. - Today, Sherman unveiled the new ShermanHealth.com website. With an innovative, consumer friendly design, the new site will make it easy for visitors to locate health information, gain access to class and physician data, and learn more about healthcare at Sherman.

"It's so important now to recognize that healthcare consumers are using the internet to research their options," said Rick Floyd, President & CEO of Sherman Health. "We recognize that excellence in patient care now includes providing the community with all of the resources necessary educate and inform them. The new site will accomplish this."

The new ShermanHealth.com provides users with a comprehensive overview of all Sherman Health services and locations, and also includes special features, such as:

* an improved health library with all of the latest medical research

* physician finder and comparison tool, making it easy for consumers to select a physician that most appropriately meets their healthcare needs

* Sherman Health Community Wellness class listings and online registration

* the ability to send an eCard to patients at the hospital

Further upgrades include interactive maps of all Sherman facilities to help patients and visitors navigate the facilities, and a comprehensive search tool allows users to search for information among all Sherman Health web sites. Visitors will also be kept informed on the latest healthcare information through a constantly updated news feed provided by EBSCO Publishing.

Several additions to the site are scheduled for the future, including an online bill pay function, a page for consumers to submit their positive Sherman experiences, and a Spanish version of the site.
