Sherman to Host Health and Safety Fair in South Elgin

South Elgin, Ill. - Enjoy a morning of fun and learning at the Sherman Health "Health & Safety Fair" from 9am to noon on Saturday, August 18 at the Sherman Health Immediate Care Center in South Elgin, 2000 McDonald Road. Taking place rain or shine, this fun-filled event for the entire family will feature free health information, games, crafts, snacks, giveaways and live country music by Six String Crossing.
Through interactive activities, Sherman Health staff and physicians will educate attendees on proper hand hygiene, bike safety, healthy eating, cancer prevention tips, how to properly wear a backpack and more. Kids will be sure to enjoy a peek inside a fire engine, ambulance and police car from South Elgin Fire and Police departments, and the opportunity to get a photo ID, compliments of Kane County SafeKids.
During a free car seat safety check, parents can have car seats checked in their own vehicles and receive hands-on instruction from a certified child passenger safety technician.
